In 2004 Kelley Paterno gave the Paterno family a tremendous gift: a book of our genealogy. Kelley married Robert Silvester Paterno, a grandson of Saverio Paterno, in 1991. This 523 page book is filled with details about our ancestors and contemporaries. It amazes me that someone who was not “born a Paterno” devoted so much time and energy into this substantial project. We are indebted to Kelley for helping us know our shared family history.
For eight months I have been transcribing Kelley’s book on my website for two reasons: 1) there will be no more copies of the book printed and an online version makes it available to newer generations, and 2) to make the information contained in the book searchable. If you go to my HOME PAGE, you will see a SEARCH bar at the bottom. Type in a name or subject matter and all mentions of such on my website, including information in Kelley’s book, will result.
