Interesting tidbit: John H. Wolcott (1759-1824), my 4th great-grandfather, is listed in the Daughters of the American Revolution database as a Patriot of the Revolutionary War. Not only did he contribute directly to the war effort, he was also a 3rd cousin 2 times removed of Oliver Wolcott, Sr. (1726-1797) who was Governor of Connecticut and a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
