Built in 1938 by Dr. Charles V. Paterno, Round Hill in Greenwich, CT, has been well-preserved. Once owned by Joseph Hirshhorn and then Dee and Tommy Hilfiger, the home retains much of the original design. This video will take you inside and outside the home and show you what has changed and what has stayed the same over 85 plus years. Presented by Carla Paterno-Cappiello Golden, great-granddaughter of Dr. Charles V. Paterno.
Hello Carla, my grandfather was Joseph Paterno and I remember your grandfather whom we called Uncle Carlo. I remember him is such a kindly man & his herd of Black Angus at, I believe, Windmill Farm. He came to our home in Greenwich often and sometimes with your mother and aunts. They were older than us, but I remember being so intrigued by them. Which one is your mother?
Thank you for the great video of Round Hill estate. Beautiful! Imagine maintaining those formal gardens now? You did an excellent job telling the story!
