Mrs. C. P. Cerabone of Paterno Family • Wife of Builder, Sister of Four Others and of a Mayor Dies
Mrs. Celestina Paterno Cerabone, wife of Victor Cerabone, retired builder, and a sister of Dr. Charles V. Paterno, Joseph, Michael E., and Anthony A. Paterno, builders and realty owners, died yesterday at her home, 474 West 238th Street, Riverdale, the Bronx, after a long illness. Her age was 65.
Born in Italy, she was the eldest of ten children. Her brothers and sisters all survive. Besides the four Paterno brothers living here there is a fifth, Mayor Francis S. Paterno [Saverio “Frank” Paterno] of Castelmezzano , Italy. The surviving sisters are Mrs. [Marie] Anthony Campagna, Mrs. [Christina] Armino Campagna, and Mrs. Rose Faiella, all of New York, and Mrs. Theresa Miele of East Orange, N.J.. Three daughters, Mrs. Caroline Campagna, Mrs. Rose D’onofrio, and Mrs. Louise Pernetti, all of New York, also survive.
A requiem mass will be sung at 10 A.M. on Friday in St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverdale Avenue and 260th Street. Burial …

Mrs. Celestina Paterno Cerabone, the wife of Victor Cerabone, a retired builder, died yesterday after a long illness at her home at 474 West 238th Street, [Riverdale House built by Armino Campagna and Michael Campagna] Riverdale, the Bronx. Mrs. Cerabone, who was 65 years old, was a sister of Dr. Charles V. Paterno and Joseph, Michael E. and Anthony A. Paterno, builder and realty owners.
Mrs. Cerabone was born in Italy, the eldest of ten children. All of her sisters and brothers survive her. The fifth brother is Mayor Francis F. Paterno [Saverio “Frank” Paterno] of Castelmezzano, Italy. Three daughters also survive. A mass of requiem will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Friday at St. Margaret’s Church, Riverdale Avenue and 260th Street.
