Paterno, Jrs’., Elopement Rewarded with Baby Boy
Now the Stork Makes Them Three
Romantic Pair Wed in Spite of Protests by Parents
It’s a boy at the delightfully youthful Joseph Paterno, Jr.’s, thereby scoring heavily for night club romances and weddings in the Armonk dawn.
A year ago and a little over, Paterno, building fortune heir, and beautiful Beverly Parker, daughter of Albert Parker, John Barrymore’s Hollywood director, wound up a gay evening at the Stork Club by eloping on the whim of the moment.
Bride Was 17.
There followed a lot of heavy father talk and rumors of an immediate annulment. Beverly was only 17. Joseph had reached the ripe old age of 19 and was exploring musty law tomes at the University of Virginia.
But the couple made it click.
And today at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Paterno was doing nicely with her offspring, who will be known as Joseph Parker Paterno.
And Joseph Paterno, Jr., was elatedly throwing his weight around their apartment at 826 Fifth Avenue.
